The SPSA is pleased to announce that it is holding its first annual Virtual Summer Meeting, June 16-17, 2022.

The 2022 SPSA Virtual Summer Meeting is an extension of the 2022 Annual Conference held last January, and everyone who participated in the January Conference (in-person in San Antonio, or as a virtual participant) is automatically registered for the Summer Meeting.  All January participants may participate in the Summer Meeting at no additional cost.

The Summer Meeting will have a dedicated web site as a meeting hub, which will contain links to meeting events and content.  Registered attendees will be provided with a password to access the 2022 Summer Meeting site for the two days of the meeting.  More information about the 2022 SPSA Virtual Summer Meeting can be found on its Frequently Asked Questions page.

Meeting Events and Content:

  • Asynchronous Virtual Poster Session. Attendees will be invited to submit original work to a poster session, which will take place throughout the virtual meeting. Virtual posters can be in the form of PowerPoint slides, Word documents, PDFs, or video recordings. Attendees will be able to drop into a virtual room dedicated to a virtual poster, where they can read or view the poster’s contents and leave feedback via a feedback form available in each virtual room.
  • Second Sessions. 2022 Annual Conference participants will have the opportunity to reconvene 2022 SPSA Conference panels at the virtual meeting. Panels interested in meeting again can reconnect with one another and discuss how paper revisions are going, report on journal responses to submissions, etc.
  • Professional Development Workshops, SPSA Committee Meetings, Online Trivia Contest….  Pay attention to this web page (as well as email and social media announcements) as details on Summer Meeting offerings are released.

Proposals for Virtual Poster submissions (250 word maximum) and Second Session panels can be submitted via email to spsa.conference@spsa.net.

Questions about the meeting can be answered either via the Summer Meeting Frequently Asked Questions page, or by emailing info@spsa.net.
